An interview with photographer, Tony Weeg

One of the things I do in my spare time is shoot portraits for the Q&A section of The Salisbury Independent. This is a local newspaper that serves our little metropolitan area largely built around a winter and fall filled with Salisbury University students and a beautiful beach in Ocean City, Maryland really close by and filled with millions of tourists beginning each and every May.

Anyhow, I have been friends with the editor for a long time and at the point in both of our lives when we were leaving and changing careers he had the idea to make a newspaper and he knew I was getting into photography so he wanted me to help. Fast-forward to now and we are at the 1 year anniversary of his newspaper and 2 years into my career and so he interviewed me to talk about where I am going with photography and how I got here and my visions for the future of Downtown Salisbury.
